Neck pain affects 45% to 54% of the general population at some time during their
lives. A thorough examination of the facet joints, neural tissues, discs, muscles, and
ligaments should be performed to determine the root cause of your neck pain. Treatment
options at FRWD may or may not include: chiropractic care, trigger point therapy,
myofascial release, dry needling, and functional rehabilitation to increase strength,
stability, and mobility.
- Cervicogenic headache: Cervicogenic headache pain is generally characterized by

postures, or external pressure over the upper cervical joints - Tension-type headache: Tension-type headache is characterized by attacks lasting
from 30 minutes to 7 days with at least two of the following features: (a) bilateral
location, (b) pressing and tightening pain quality, (c ) mild or moderate pain
intensity, and (d) lack of aggravation during routine physical activity. - Migraine Headache: Migraine headaches can present with or without aura.
Migraine headache without aura is characterized by attacks lasting from 4 to 72
hours and present with a unilateral location, pulsating pain quality, moderate to
severe pain intensity, and aggravated by routine activities.
