Posterior Tibialis Tendonitis

Posterior tibialis tendonitis, also known as posterior tibial tendon dysfunction (PTTD), is a condition involving inflammation or degeneration of the posterior tibialis tendon. This tendon runs along the inside of the ankle and foot, attaching the calf muscle to bones in the midfoot and supporting the arch of the foot. When this tendon becomes inflamed or damaged, it can lead to pain and instability in the foot and ankle.
