Rotator Cuff Impingement

Rotator cuff impingement (also known as shoulder impingement syndrome) occurs when the tendons of the rotator cuff become irritated or compressed as they pass through the subacromial space, the area between the acromion (a part of the shoulder blade) and the head of the humerus (upper arm bone). This can lead to pain, inflammation, and restricted shoulder movement.
